Burrito is a dish of Mexican cuisine that is popular far beyond Mexico. Prepare it with chicken, beans and corn.

Cooking process

The serving of the dish is always the same: a tortuous “tortilla” is wrapped with a tasty, satisfying and hot filling. But the composition of the filling can vary – it can be with meat or vegetarian, but the presence of corn, beans and cheese are mandatory.

For the preparation of the filling, it is necessary to boil the chicken fillet in advance until ready and cool in the resulting broth. Corn and beans are individually thrown on a sieve and allowed to drain the liquid. Tomatoes (if desired) can be peeled. Tomato sauce is used to taste (spicy, sweet, with spices).

Onions and garlic finely chopped, frying pan 2 tbsp. vegetable oil, we spread onions and garlic and pass 1-2 minutes on medium heat.

Next, add the tomatoes, diced, and tomato sauce. All mixed, cover the frying pan and simmer on low heat for 5-7 minutes, before softening the vegetables. At the end of quenching season with salt and black pepper. I used a mixture of Mexican spices.

Chicken fillet is removed from the broth and cut into cubes. We put chicken fillet, corn and beans in a saucepan.

All mixed and warmed for several minutes on low heat. Remove the frying pan from the fire, add the finely chopped greens. Burrito filling with chicken and beans is ready.

You can collect burritos. Cheese rub on a coarse grater. Next, you need to warm up the cakes, so that they become more plastic and easily curled into a roll. To do this, we heat the dry frying pan, lay out on it a single tortilla for just a few seconds, then turn the cake to the other side and hold the pan for a few more minutes. Burrs do not need to be roasted, they are warm enough.

We shift the cake from the frying pan onto the board, spread the filling on one side of the cake, generously sprinkle the cheese and roll into the roll, bending the edges inward so that the filling does not fall out.

Put stuffing and cheese

Repeat the procedure with the remaining cakes and stuffing.

Fill the filling with a flat cake

The final stage of cooking burrito – rolls should be fried in a frying pan or heated in a hot oven to make the cheese melt. I fried the burrito with chicken and beans in a grill pan. To do this, thoroughly heat the frying pan, grease the rolls with the remaining vegetable oil and fry from two sides until the appearance of ruddy stripes.

Serving the dish: cut each burrito in half, a little obliquely. Serve hot with sour cream.
