Fragrant, juicy pastry puff pastry with strawberries – simple but very tasty homemade pastries that will help you out at any time of the year. Cooked from the ready-made puff pastry and frozen or fresh strawberry berries, the patties are ruddy, appetizingly crispy, juicy and very fragrant.
Since when baking strawberries are actively allocated juice, which inevitably flows slightly out of the test, purely for aesthetic reasons, the filling of strawberries is not the best choice for pies. However, for that magical fragrance and colorful summer taste that gives strawberry berries to pies, they can forgive some inaccuracy. Try it!
To prepare puff pastry with strawberries, you will need the ingredients listed in the list.
Fold the frozen strawberries on a strainer and completely defrost. Large berries can be cut into several parts.
Drain all the shed juice.
Mix sugar with vanilla sugar.
Defrost puff pastry. Place the dough on a flour-poured work surface, roll it out if necessary, and then cut into pieces of the desired size.
Place a little strawberry berries on each slice of the dough.
Sprinkle every serving of strawberries with 0.5 tsp. cornstarch. Due to the presence of starch in the filling, during the baking process the juice that will give the strawberry berries will gently thicken, the dough will not get wet, and the filling will remain juicy, but the juice will not completely solidify and some of it often seeps from the pies onto the baking tray.
Add 1 p.s. a mixture of sugar and vanilla.
Tighten the edges of the dough tightly, giving the desired shape to the pies. If desired, you can apply an invoice to the edges of the patties by dipping the teeth of the fork into the flour and additionally pressing the joints of the dough.
Put the patties on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, grease with egg yolk and puncture the dough in several places with a fork.
Place the patties in a preheated 180 degree oven and bake for 15 minutes, until golden brown.
