Do you like fast food the way I like it? Then for sure shaurma – in the list of your favorite snacks. And for sure you know that not always appetizing to the appearance of a filling, wrapped in pita bread, can benefit the body. The way out, as always, is the same – prepare the shawarma yourself at home, good, for this you do not need any special skills or adaptations. Products are also all affordable and moderate in price.
Here, for example, shawarma with minced meat. It will require only meat or ready-made minced meat, tomatoes, greens, cheese, pita bread and sauce.
Hard cheese can be any sort, I like it more salty – I take Dutch. You can take it at your discretion, even with spices, like the Hunter. Rub cheese on a small or large grater. Yes, really, you can cut the cheese strips. Wash tomato and cut into slices.
For frying stuffing will certainly need vegetable oil – then it will be juicier. If you decide to prepare forcemeat “from scratch” – it’s commendable, you will not be disappointed for sure, well, except that it will take a little longer. In the recipe, cutlet pork is used, twisted into a meat grinder along with a large onion. Then to the stuffing salt is added, black ground pepper and chicken egg. Finish minced meat on low heat, stirring with a spatula, for 25 minutes. If it turned out too fat, put it on a napkin – let the excess oil soak.
Lay out on the table a small sheet of pita bread, it can be of any shape. With the edge put a spoonful of tomato sauce and smear it, on top – a couple of spoons of minced meat.
On the ground lay 5-6 slices of tomato.
Sprinkle with grated cheese.
Rinse fresh parsley under the tap, then shake off excess water and even dry with a towel. Finely chop the greens and sprinkle the top of the filling, the amount is arbitrary. Lightly grease the filling with tomato sauce.
Tightly wrap the filling in pita bread, but be careful not to tear the pita bread. In a dry frying pan or a lightly oiled frying pan, fry the shawarma on both sides. Lavash will become crispy, and the cheese inside will melt.
Shaurma with minced meat is ready. Serve better at once while hot or warm – so the filling will be more juicy.
Bon Appetit!
