Potatoes with chicken, cheese and mayonnaise in the oven – a dish high in calories, though tasty to disgrace. Therefore, I rarely cook it, mostly on holidays. Therefore, even the very fact of cooking potatoes with meat under cheese is already a holiday. Children like this dish also love, so I try to cook it with homemade mayonnaise. If guests are scheduled, I cook potatoes in large form or immediately on a baking sheet. And for a narrow family circle will come down and a small mold.
To prepare potatoes with chicken, cheese and mayonnaise in the oven, prepare the following ingredients – they are all simple and affordable, often they are in the fridge, even if the preparation of baked potatoes was not planned in advance.
Chicken meat cut into small pieces. You can use fillets or pieces cut from the thigh or drumstick. Tendons, if possible, remove, as well as excess fat.

You can take a small form for baking or form a dish on a baking tray, if many “tasters” are expected. The form is covered with foil and grease with vegetable oil. Spread half the potatoes, add salt. You can also sprinkle with spices.
Finely chop the peeled onion and transfer it from above to the potatoes. You can also cut the onion halves or quarters of rings. Lubricate everything with mayonnaise – you can use home or shop.
Now turn the chicken – lay the pieces tightly one to one. Lubricate with mayonnaise. It is convenient to use a culinary brush.
Put the second half of the potatoes on top of the chicken, add salt and spread it with mayonnaise.
The final layer is slices of cheese. Now you can cover the form with foil and send it to a preheated 190 degree oven.
Bake the potatoes with chicken, cheese and mayonnaise in the oven for 20-25 minutes, then unfold the foil and allow the cheese to brown for another 15-20 minutes.
Serve the dish on a large platter or in portions, warm or hot. Be sure to decorate with fresh herbs.
