A dish of Italian cuisine, traditionally cooked with a meat filling, can also be a dessert. Lasagna from cottage cheese has all the same principles of preparation, but instead of meat, vegetables and cheese we use cottage cheese, sweet milk sauce and various fruits and berries. Today we prepare dessert lasagna from cottage cheese with apples and cinnamon. This dish will also become a full breakfast or a children’s snack.
For the filling you will need: two whole eggs, sugar to taste (2-4 tablespoons will be enough) and about a half a kilo of cottage cheese – I took three whole packs, so it turned out slightly more. From the amount of cottage cheese depends, respectively, and the amount of filling. Also for taste variety I used apples and cinnamon for filling lasagna.
For dairy sauce we take exactly half a liter of milk, yolk, flour and sugar also to taste.
And, of course, you can not do without special sheets for lasagna. Take any – everything will do, most importantly, in advance, calculate the necessary quantity and size for the form in which you will prepare the dish.
First, prepare the sauce. To do this, put 400 ml of milk on the fire and bring it to a boil.
While the milk is heated, we connect one yolk (we do not need protein), two tablespoons of sugar and flour.
We rub the ingredients well with a fork or a whisk.
We pour the remaining milk.
Continue to grind to a homogeneous consistency. If necessary, you can wipe a couple of times through a strainer.
Prepared sauce in a thin trickle pour into hot milk, without stopping to stir the liquid. Keep on a small fire for a few more minutes, also stirring. During this time, the mass thickens. Turn off the fire and stir for a couple of minutes, then leave the sauce aside.
Prepare the filling. We combine cottage cheese, two eggs and the remaining sugar.
We mix it to a homogeneous state.
Apples are peeled, cut into small cubes.
Boil to half-ready sheets of lasagna (for 3-5 minutes).
We form lasagna with cottage cheese. We lubricate the mold with butter. Bottom grease the sauce, top layer of sheets.
We spread the sheets with sauce, evenly spread half the curd filling and half of the apple cubes. Sprinkle all the cinnamon to taste.
We repeat again: sheets, sauce, curd filling, apples and cinnamon. Then comes the top layer of lasagna sheets.
Cover it with the remaining sauce, sprinkle the surface with cinnamon.
Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for at least 40 minutes, until cooked. After 20 minutes of cooking, you can cover the form with foil, so that the top does not dry out. The sheets of lasagna should be soft and easily pierced with a knife.
Lasagna with cottage cheese is ready!
