Cinnamon – 1 stick

To make a cherry compote you will need these components.

Ingredients for cherry compote from frozen cherries

Measure in a saucepan of 1.5 liters of cold water. Add a cinnamon stick, 2-3 pcs. cloves and, if desired, lemon juice. Bring the mixture to a boil.

Put cinnamon and cloves in water

When the water boils, add a frozen cherry to the pan. Bring the mixture back to the boil again and cook for 2-3 minutes on a low heat. You do not need to defrost the berries.

Put the cherry

Turn off the fire, add sugar to the drink to taste. Gently mix everything in order for the sugar to dissolve.

Pour sugar

Then cover the pan with a lid and allow the drink to infuse for at least 30-40 minutes before serving to the table, and if time allows – until completely cooled.
