Cooking process

I cook rice with vegetables personally not only in the Post. I believe that this is an excellent option for a quick and useful side dish to the main course.

This dish is also good because it is possible to vary the vegetable component using seasonal vegetables. For this, fresh and frozen vegetables are suitable.

Important: in order for all vegetables to be cooked evenly, it is necessary to select a set of vegetables that have the same cooking time.

Prepare all the products on the list. I use both fresh and frozen vegetables.

Ingredients for lean rice with vegetables

Pepper bulgarian and carrots cut into small cubes. String beans cut into smaller pieces.

Cut the peppers, carrots and beans

In a frying pan, we warm up the vegetable oil. Roast on it chopped vegetables for 15 minutes, stirring.

Fry vegetables

Frozen peas spread in a frying pan, NOT defreezing it beforehand. We cook the vegetables for another 5-7 minutes. Solim vegetables to taste.

Put the green peas

Rice boil in salted water according to the instructions on the package. Ready rice is thrown into a colander and let the water drain.

Brew rice

Add the rice in the frying pan to the vegetables, mix all the ingredients.

Put the rice to the vegetables

Lenten rice with vegetables is ready. We serve it both as a main course and as a side dish.
